  3. Open the notes icon SPSS writes the syntax for the commands you select from the menus into the "Notes" section of the output. Double click on the 'Closed Book' notes icon to make the notes visible. Double clicking on an icon toggles it to be visible or hidden. Copying SPSS Output to Word
