As a Roman Catholic, you are aware of the power and holiness of the rosary. It is a way for you to devote yourself to God, with the rosary offering you hope in the darkest of times. Today, we want you to devote yourself to the rosary once again. All you need to do is buy a rosary from a rosary gift shopand learn the different ways you can pray to the Lord.
The first way is by praying to the Sign of the Cross. Touch your forehead with your right hand, along with your heart, left, and right shoulder. Then, touch the forehead when saying Father, breastbone when saying Son, left shoulder when saying Holy, and right shoulder when saying Spirit.
Then, pray to the Lord through the Apostle’s Creed. Keep your head down, contemplatively, when saying the prayer. Hold the rosary in your hand. Pray to the Lord on the first rosary bead that is large. On this bead, pray to Our Father. Say your Hail Marys on the next three beads. They should be carried out to increase Faith, Hope, and Love.
On the next large bead, let your prayers comprise the Glory Be. It is also known as the Lesser Doxology. Looking at it closely, it is the space present between the larger bead and the three beads. Out of these beads, the larger one is for Our Father. If you are praying in a group, announce the mystery. Make sure to choose a method of reciting the mystery you resonate with. The order followed is such: • Monday- Joyful Mysteries • Tuesday- Sorrowful • Wednesday- Glorious
It is repeated from Thursday to Saturday. Glorious again on Sunday. However, Pope John Paul II recommended the following schedule after introducing the Luminous Mysteries in 2002: • Monday – Joyful • Tuesday – Sorrowful • Wednesday – Glorious • Thursday – Luminous • Friday – Sorrowful • Saturday – Joyful • Sunday – Glorious
Announce the first Mystery. When using the rosary bead, pray to Our Father. On the next ten beads, pray Hail Mary. One per bead. Move in a counter-clockwise fashion. Before you reach the next big bead, pray Glory Be. Then, you can choose one Fátima Prayer. In the Second Decade, announce the Second Mystery. Choose the mystery as per the day. On a large bead, pray to Our Father. Then, again, pray 10 Hail Mary’s for each bead. End this with a Glory Be and Fátima Prayer.
Follow the same pattern for the Third, Fourth, and Fifth Decade. Even though it might get repetitive, you need to concentrate on how you are feeling within. Make sure you are feeling the meaning of every word you are saying. In this way, you will truly devote yourself to our Lord. To ensure you have the strongest bond with the Lord, invest in products like a hematite rosary, so you feel more connected to your faith.
