But when the Pharisees saw this, they asked his disciples, “Why does your teacher eat with such scum?” When Jesus heard this, he said, “Healthy people don’t need a doctor—sick people do.” Then he added, “Now go and learn the meaning of this Scripture: ‘I want you to show mercy, not offer sacrifices.’ For I have come to call not those who think they are righteous, but those who know they are sinners.”

  8. From the Frontlines… "We often think of nursing as giving meds on time, checking an X-ray to see if the doctor needs to be called, or taking an admission at 2:00 a.m. with a smile on our faces. Too often, we forget all the other things that make our job what it truly is—caring and having a desire to make a difference.”- Erin Pettengill, RN "Go into medicine for the right reason. Don’t make it about the money---make it about caring for those who need your healing hands. If it isn’t in your heart, patients will feel it.” -Palma Iacovitti, Nurse

  9. Are you willing to hang out with the sick people?
