Survey - Attitude of the American public regarding foreigners coming to USA for transplantation • 30% felt that people should not be allowed to travel to USA to receive a deceased donor transplant • 28% felt that people travelling to USA for a deceased donor transplant would be acceptable in some cases • 38% indicated that this practice might prevent them from becoming an organ donor. • Media coverage of this practice has the potential to adversely affect organ donation.   16. Telling your story… • Everyone loves a good story. Have a human face to the story (beneficiary or donor). Then expand to the general scene. • Don’t assume anything. Talk in simple terms, not jargon. • Have a press release ready
