  1. The Difference Between the Prescribed Drugs and the Natural Medicines

  2. Prescribed Drugs vs Natural Medicines • Pharmaceutical drugs or prescription drugs have become an integral part of life. They are widely used for treating ailments effectively. • However, there is the other side of the coin as well. Along with the miraculous benefits, there are several side-effects of prescribed drugs. • People have realized it in the past few decades. Recently there has been a lot of gung-ho aboutnatural medicines. They are said to be quite useful in treating ailments but have minimal or no side-effects.

  3. Prescribed drugs are regulated Having said it, one must understand that the claims of the natural drugs being safe don’t have sufficient clinical proof. Therefore, one has to be skeptical while shifting to natural medicines from prescribed medicines. Every country has a separate drug controlling authority along with the international drug administration. These regulating authorities monitor the efficacy, safety, and security of pharma products.

  4. Each pharma company has to provide its research report of clinical trials to the regulating authority. The authority has a separate mechanism to check the validity of the same. • Thus, the prescribed drug that is produced by the pharma company is safe up to a large extent. • However, natural medicines may not be supported by such a stringent controlling mechanism. Sometimes, there is no regulating authority. Sometimes, the clinical trials don’t sufficiently prove the safety of the drug.

  5. Quality of ingredients • Prescribed medicines are made from ingredients that are also regulated by authorities for quality and purity. • Either the ingredients are chemicals or animal products, but quality control officerscheck both. • In the case of natural medicines, the ingredients are either herbal products or animal products that are not usually controlled by an agency. • Thus, it is not sure whether the ingredients are pure and consistent in quality. • It is quite evident that in such a situation, it is not possible to be sure about the effectiveness of the drug as well.

  6. The knowledge of natural medicines has been inherited • Though the manufacturers of natural medicines have their internal quality assurance and research departments, it is difficult to get an assurance of its legitimacy. • Moreover, the understanding of natural ingredients has been transferred from generation to generation. Hence, there is quite a possibility of distortion of information. • Sometimes, the ingredients described in the original formula are unavailable. Hence, they are either replaced with some alternative or omitted altogether.

  7. In such a case, it is tough to determine the effectiveness of natural medicines. If you are looking forNaturopath in Adelaide?
