JOWSCO is committed to the principles of Ecologically Sustainable Development (ESD), in particular the conservation of energy, water, species and natural resources and the control of pollution and waste. In providing, to time and budget, specific venues, public infrastructure, public and private transport, accommodation, recreational facilities, marketing materials and special events for the WSSD 2002, JOWSCO’s commitment is to: Protect and enhance remnant natural ecosystems at all venues, sites and facilities and encourage the reuse of temporary and portable facilities by local communities post-Summit Encourage the use of recycled materials and reduce waste generation, specifically in packaging, marketing and catering materials JOWSCO Environmental Policy
