GOES LRIT/LRGS System Features • Full support for LRIT data from GOES East & GOES West. • Easy installation (i.e., Mount the antenna on a single post or patio mount & one cable feed to the receiver.) • Data transferred from the receiver to the host computer via a 12 Mbit/s USB connection to ensure high speed & data integrity. • High-quality, high-reliability hardware & software for trouble-free, long-term, continuous operation. • Simultaneously distribute LRIT data to multiple LRGS systems • Simple user interface to modify configuration & view status using a monitor/keyboard. (If requested, remote status connect enabled via SSH.) • Windows-based Software: XRIT Ingester to capture & archive LRIT data, MacroPro to post-process data, & iDAP to display & process images • Software to display & process infra-red, visible, & water vapor images also available

  10. LRITReceiver Once the receiver is properly installed, the LED indicators on the front of the receiver should now be as shown in Table 3-1, in which case it is ready to receive data.

Set Up the LRGS Client • To view or retrieve data from the LRIT/LRGS host computer, install DCS Toolkits Version 4.7 or LRGS Version 7.2 or later in a client machine. • Use the LRGS Status Application to connect the LRIT/LRGS host server with its IP address & port number. • By default, the user name & password are lrgsadmin & lrgsadmin on the LRIT/LRGS host server.
