  2. 1. It is lead by a team of Godly leaders, not a" Lone Ranger" pastor • Titus 1(5-9) I left you in charge in Crete so you could complete what I left half-done. Appoint leaders in every town according to my instructions. As you select them, ask, “Is this man well-thought-of? Is he committed to his wife? Are his children believers? Do they respect him and stay out of trouble?” It’s important that a church leader, responsible for the affairs in God’s house, be looked up to—not pushy, not short-tempered, not a drunk, not a bully, not money-hungry. He must welcome people, be helpful, wise, fair, and reverent, have a good grip on himself, and have a good grip on the Message, knowing how to use the truth to either spur people on in knowledge or stop them in their tracks if they oppose it.   3. 2.The Gospel is the central message that is reaching the world. • 1 Corinthians 15:3-4 For I delivered to you as of first importance what I also received: that Christ died for our sins in accordance with the Scriptures, 4 that He was buried, that He was raised on the third day in accordance with the Scriptures.  • John 3:16“For God so loved the world, that he gave his only Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have eternal life.'' • John 15(12) “This is my commandment, that you love one another as I have loved you.'' • Acts 1:8 But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you, and you will be my witnesses in Jerusalem and in all Judea and Samaria, and to the end of the earth.” 1-2-3-4-5-6-7-8-9-10

  4. 3.People are using their spiritual gifts, resulting in disciples being made and multiplied through the ministry of the Body. • 1 Corinthians 12:(12-13) For just as the body is one and has many members, and all the members of the Body, though many, are one Body, so it is with Christ. 13 For in one Spirit we were all baptized into one Body—Jews or Greeks, slavesor free—and all were made to drink of one Spirit. • 2 Timothy 2:2And what you have heard from me in the presence of many witnesses entrust to faithful men who will be able to teach others also. 1-2-3-4-5-6-7-8-9-10

  5. 4.The Church, is integrated, fully embracing the demographics and diversity of the community in which it resides. • Gal 3(26-29)For you are all sons of God through faith in Christ Jesus. 27 For all of you who were baptized into Christ have clothed yourselves with Christ. 28 There is neither Jew nor Greek, there is neither slave nor free man, and there is neither male nor female; for you are all one in Christ Jesus. 29 And if you belong to Christ, then you are Abraham’s descendants, heirs according to promise. 1-2-3-4-5-6-7-8-9-10

  6. 5.Love, demonstrating itself in friendliness, generosity, through the internal/external ministries of care. • 1 Corinthian 13(4-8) 4Love is patient and kind; love does not envy or boast; it is not arrogant or rude. 5It does not insist on its own way; it is not irritable or resentful; 6 it does not rejoice at wrongdoing, but rejoices with the truth. 7 Love bears all things, believes all things, hopes all things, and endures all things. 8Love never ends. • Proverbs 19(17) Whoever is generous to the poor lends to the LORD , and He will repay him for his deeds. 1-2-3-4-5-6-7-8-9-10

There are thriving small groups where members truly can have great Biblical conversations, share struggles, and pray with/for each other. • Acts 2(42)And they devoted themselves to the apostles' teaching and the fellowship, to the breaking of bread and the prayers. • James 5:16Therefore, confess your sins to one another and pray for one another, that you may be healed. The prayer of a righteous person has great power as it is working. • 1-2-3-4-5-6-7-8-9-10

The people are being inspired and equipped to share their faith relationally, resulting in new Believers being added to the Church. • 2 Peter 3(17-18) You therefore, beloved, knowing this beforehand, take care that you are not carried away with the error of lawless people and lose your own stability. 18 But grow in the grace and knowledge of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. To Him be the glory both now and to the day of eternity. Amen. • Acts 2(47)Praising God and having favor with all the people. And the Lord added to their number day by day those who were being saved. 1-2-3-4-5-6-7-8-9-10

  9. 8.The teaching/preaching is Biblical, theological, and applicable. • 2 Timothy 3:16-17All Scripture is breathed out by God and profitable for teaching, for reproof, for correction, and for training in righteousness, 17 that the man of Godmay be complete, equipped for every good work. • 2 Timothy 4:1-2  I charge you in the presence of God and of Christ Jesus, who is to judge the living and the dead, and by His appearing and His kingdom: 2 preach the word; be ready in season and out of season; reprove, rebuke, and exhort, with complete patience and teaching. 1-2-3-4-5-6-7-8-9-10

Ministry to children and youth are top priorities. • Deuteronomy 6:4--7“Hear, O Israel: The Lord our God, the Lord is One.5You shall love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your might. 6 And these words that I command you today shall be on your heart. 7 You shall teach them diligently to your children, and shall talk of them when you sit in your house, and when you walk by the way, and when you lie down, and when you rise.'' • Ephesian’s 6:4 Fathers, do not provoke your children to anger, but bring them up in the discipline and instruction of the Lord. 1-2-3-4-5-6-7-8-9-10

  11. 10.Intercessory prayer is a priority. • 1 Timothy 2:1-8 First of all, then, I urge that supplications, prayers, intercessions, and thanksgivings be made for all people, 2 for kings and all who are in high positions, that we may lead a peaceful and quiet life, Godly and dignified in every way. 3This is good, and it is pleasing in the sight of God our Savior, 4 Who desire all people to be saved and to come to the knowledge of the Truth. 5 For there is one God, and there is one Mediator between God and men, the man,[Christ Jesus, 6 Who gave Himself as a ransom for all, which is the testimony given at the proper time. 7 For this I was appointed a preacher and an apostle (I am telling the truth, I am not lying), a teacher of the Gentiles in faith and truth.8 I desire then that in every place the men should pray, lifting holy hands without anger or quarreling. 1-2-3-4-5-6-7-8-9-10

  12. Questions for your consideration. 1. Why are you a part of this church? 2. What keeps you here? 3. Have you ever contemplated stepping away from church? Why or why not? 4. How would you describe your relationship with God right now? 5. How has your relationship with God changed over the past few years? 6. What effect, if any, has our church had on your relationship with God? 7. What would need to change (or what could you do ) to help Harvest Church grow more toward Jesus’s call to love God and love others?
