  2. Rules • Students enter and leave the library quietly • Students keep hands, feet, and objects to themselves • Students follow directions • Students are respectful to teachers and classmates • Students leave books neatly on the shelves • Students do not run in the library

  4. Features of the Library • Fiction Books A-Z (this includes picture books and chapter books) • Non-Fiction Books • Reference • Magazines

  5. What Are Fiction Books? • Books that are not true and arranged alphabetically by the author’s last name.

  6. What Are Non-Fiction Books? Books with factual information arranged on shelves by the Dewey Decimal or call number.

  7. Reference Books • These books may be checked out in the morning and returned in the afternoon. • Dictionary • Encyclopedia • Atlas • Almanac

  8. Biographies • Books about a person’s life arranged alphabetically. The call number is 92 plus the first three letters of who the book is about.
