  1. Portfolios here, portfolios there, portfolios everywhere! Minnesota’s Statewide Electronic Portfolio Infrastructure WCET – November, 2002

  2. Imagine you’re a learner again……. • Starting an electronic portfolio while you where in middle school. • Using your portfolio throughout high school and helping you showcase your skills as part of the college application process. • Continuing to populate the same portfolio as part of your college experience.

  3. Imagine your starting your career… • You modify your student portfolio to showcase your skills and abilities to future employers. • You use your portfolio during the interview process as a way to document your accomplishments. • The job is yours.

  4. Imagine your part of the labor force… • Your portfolio now serves as a repository of projects you’ve worked on and additional training opportunities you’ve taken advantage of to enhance your skills. • Your portfolio is there to help document why you deserve that promotion or helps you with job transition.

  5. Imagine… • That the electronic portfolio you have been using since middle school has allowed you to store text, images, documents, images, audio and video files. • That this same portfolio permits you to collect information and feedback through forms and surveys. • That the information in your portfolio is controlled by you and can be viewed by anyone or no one or just a limited few. • And best of all ….. it’s free!
