  2. The beginning…1993 Due to support of Polish and Austrian Governments in 1993 Ukraine got first dedicated link to the global Internet at speed 19200bit/s via UARNet with cooperation of NASK

  11. UARNet today • above 50 Scientific organisations of National Academy of Sciences • above 40 Universities • above 80 Institutes and Sci&Research • above hundreds schools and colleges Are currently connected via UARNet network!!!

Experienses and resources of UARNET • 13 years having deal with IT and networking • Near 100 employers currently are working at UARNET including than 65 highly skilled network administrators • Real experiense from practice with high speed networking equipment like Juniper, Cisco, HP,…and fiber-optics equipments • 365/7/24 support for customers • Own intracity fiber-optic links and DWDM (Poland-Lviv-…-Kyiv-…-Kharkiv) • Own fiber network in Kyiv (~150km), Lviv, Kharkiv, Dnepropetrovsk • Above 300Mbps of external traffic are utilized by R&E institutions connected to UARNet network
