  2. BEYOND TALK • Nehemiah 3 • There needs to be a carefully coordinated work party • That’s what Nehemiah 3 is all about. We’ve seen that BEYOND TALK, first of all, there needs to be SUSTAINED PRAYER. Second, there has to be DETAILED ASSESSMENT and CAREFUL PLANNING. Nehemiah has done all this and he’s ready to get the folks into their “wall-building” overalls! • It must have taken a lot of coordination and organization to get them started, positioned, resourced and motivated. Somehow, Nehemiah managed to • 1. Give specific direction • 2. Set clear goals and achievable objectives • 3. Create a sense of autonomy and self-reliance • 4. Motivate across the whole community • 5. Inspire a pride in ability and quality of work • 6. Maintain a strength of togetherness and unity • 7. Encourage joy through accomplishment • STRONG LEADERSHIP, EMPOWERING TRUST AND COMMON OBJECTIVES PULL A TEAM OF WINNERS TOGETHER. • SOME UNEXPECTED PERFORMANCES EMERGE AND THE RAPID NATURE OF THE PROGRESS MAY SURPRISE EVERYONE BUT GOD.
