FY14 EnvironmentalProject Overview • Environmental Quality • Plan to invest approximately $221M overall in the management of natural and cultural resources at CONUS and overseas AF installations • Projects provide for the responsible management of air and water resources and proper waste disposal activities to ensure installation operations capacity needs are met while maintaining compliance with Federal, state and local laws and regulations • Program executed through multiple agents - 772 ESS, USACE, GSA, and local base contracting squadrons • Execution includes Fence2Fence strategy (~$30M-$40M of $221M) via USACE/BIEST, GSA BPA & GSA awarded/722 ESS executed/administered BPAs (must be on GSA schedule) • Remediation • Installation Restoration (IR), Military Munitions Response (MMR) Programs ~$183.7M (~230 projects) executed through 772 ESS, USACE, and Base Contracting Office (BCO) All projected FY14 procurements are based on the best information available.
