Key terms to know when analysing media texts: • Banners: usually found across the top of a website’s homepage – usually contain adverts for products / services • Navigation: a series of buttons that a user can use to find their way around the site • Thumbnails: images are displayed in reduced size, allowing you to click to get a full size image • Frames: the content of a website is broken down into frames, making content more manageable / easy to read.
