  1. When a patient coughs up blood or blood sputum from the bronchi, larynx, trachea, or lungs, this is known as hemoptysis. The most frequent underlying reasons detectable by CT are: • Tuberculosis • Bronchiectasis • Bronchitis Chronic Pneumonia • Fungal diseases • Lung cancer *Massive Hemoptysis is bleeding that exceeds 300 ml in 24 hours. Hemoptysis: Understand the underlying reasons of bloody coughing

  2. Relevant imaging methods for the evaluation of hemoptysis include: • It lateralizes the bleeding with a greater degree of precision and frequently aids in the detection of underlying parenchymal and pleural abnormalities. • Contrast-enhanced MDCT is able to identify the location of bleeding. Prior to anticipated bronchial artery embolization or surgical intervention, it provides high-resolution angiographic investigations of the thoracic and upper abdominal vasculature. • The most successful treatment for reducing significant hemoptysis is thoracic aortography (bronchial artery embolization). More than 90% of hemoptysis patients requiring intervention with arterial embolization or surgery are caused by bleeding from the bronchial arteries. How is hematuria assessed?

  3. We provide patient-friendly diagnostic and interventional radiology services of the highest quality. As a teaching institution, Narayana Health the best Hospital in India, also provides DNB Radiology and Diploma in Radiology Technology courses with an emphasis on high-quality instruction, research, and academic activities.
