  3. He sailed for the country Spain because they wanted to get more gold for the country of Spain.

  4. He made it to “Florida” in 1539 and did not find any gold. He died of fever on may 21, 1542. He and his men were the first to discover the Mississippi River. He was the first to go through Oklahoma , Arkansas, and Louisiana.
