  1. 6 Tips for Enjoying The Perfect Couples Getaway at Napa Valley You can’t go wrong with Napa Valley if you are planning the ultimate couple’s getaway for you and your loved one. Wineries, luxury hotels, intimate inns, coastal views and charming bars are just some of the best things about it. To get started, consider what your significant other wants to do and experience during your holiday. Share what you want to do and work around that to plan your activities during your stay. Here are some tips to make your Napa couple’s getaway more enjoyable and memorable: 1.Choose where to stay: Your accommodation is a huge factor that can affect your whole experience of traveling together in Napa Valley. Take your time to research couple-friendly inns, hotels, bed-and-breakfasts and resorts. Accommodations that provides an intimate feel may be best if you want to experience more quality time, with peace and quiet. Check with the place, as they may have some special offers or promos for couples going on a Napa Valley getaway. Don’t limit yourself to the accommodation options in town. Napa Valley is vast, stretching several miles to include the cities St. Helena, Yountville and Calistoga. 2.Plan your activities: What do you want to do during your Napa couple’s getaway? Wine tasting and wine tours are a given as well as dining out but you can also include other activities such as bike tours, horseback riding and hot air balloon rides. Be sure to give the Napa Valley Wine Train a shot. It will take you from Napa to St. Helena on as scenic route, with four wineries and different tours on the itinerary. 3.Know what’s going on during your stay: Research the events happening while you are there. They could be specific to wineries and establishments, region-wide or unique to a particular town or city. 4.Timing is key: When you decide for Napa couple’s getaway, timing matters. Summer is usually a great time due to the pleasant weather, but be prepared to see more crowds and higher costs. You can also go during the last week of August or first week of September when most people have gone back to school and other folks are home with their kids. Peak season is usually from August to October (harvest season), so expect high prices on accommodations and long lines getting into restaurants. You can also go around March to May in spring. If you do not mind the chilly weather, go around December to February when it is less crowded and you are likely to spend less. 5.Making reservations? Do it in advance: Avoid any hassle during your Napa couple’s getaway by making reservations for accommodation, tastings, tours, restaurants and activities at least one month ahead of your trip.

  2. 6.Bring home your favorite wines: One way to commemorate your trip is by buying the wines you enjoyed the most and taking them home. That way, you can remember your trip every time you take a sip.
