  2. The Upper Room/The Last Supper (Luke 22:14-34, John 13-17)

  3. Mark 10:45 (NLT) 45 For even the Son of Man came not to be served but to serve others and to give his life as a ransom for many.”

  4. John 13:3-4 (NLT) 3   Jesus knew that the Father had given him authority over everything and that he had come from God and would return to God. 4 So he got up from the table, took off his robe, wrapped a towel around his waist,

  5. John 13:17 (NLT) 17 Now that you know these things, God will bless you for doing them.

  6. Confrontations, Betrayals and Denials

  7. John 13:27-30 (NLT) 27  When Judas had eaten the bread, Satan entered into him. Then Jesus told him, “Hurry and do what you’re going to do.” 28 None of the others at the table knew what Jesus meant. 29 Since Judas was their treasurer, some thought Jesus was telling him to go and pay for the food or to give some money to the poor. 30 So Judas left at once, going out into the night.

  8. Luke 22:31-32 (NLT) 31 “Simon, Simon, Satan has asked to sift each of you like wheat.  32 But I have pleaded in prayer for you, Simon, that your faith should not fail. So when you have repented and turned to me again, strengthen your brothers.”

  9. Luke 22:33-34 (NLT) 33  Peter said, “Lord, I am ready to go to prison with you, and even to die with you.” 34 But Jesus said, “Peter, let me tell you something. Before the rooster crows tomorrow morning, you will deny three times that you even know me.”

  10. John 13:35 (NLT) 35   Your love for one another will prove to the world that you are my disciples.”

  11. John 14:6 (NLT) 6   Jesus told him, “I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one can come to the Father except through me.

  12. John 14:9 (NLT) 9   Jesus replied, “Have I been with you all this time, Philip, and yet you still don’t know who I am? Anyone who has seen me has seen the Father! So why are you asking me to show him to you?

John 14:12-14 (NLT) 12“I tell you the truth, anyone who believes in me will do the same works I have done, and even greater works, because I am going to be with the Father. 13 You can ask for anything in my name, and I will do it, so that the Son can bring glory to the Father. 14 Yes, ask me for anything in my name, and I will do it!

  14. John 14:16-17 (NLT) 16 And I will ask the Father, and he will give you another Advocate, who will never leave you.  17 He is the Holy Spirit, who leads into all truth. The world cannot receive him, because it isn’t looking for him and doesn’t recognize him. But you know him, because he lives with you now and later will be in you.

  15. John 15:15 (NLT) 15  I no longer call you slaves, because a master doesn’t confide in his slaves. Now you are my friends, since I have told you everything the Father told me.
