  2. Unit Plan Summary: Creative writing is an art which gets better and better with practice and innovative ideas. This is a guideline to students how they can help themselves in writing differently without getting help from teachers. There are very easy points and if followed would definitely bring in positive change in their writing.

  3. Essential Question 1-Am I on the right path?

  4. Unit Questions 1- How can you help yourself to write creatively and make best use of time/resources? (UQ) Content Questions 1- Give 5 different views about creative writing. 2- What proofreading steps would you follow? 3- How can you make your piece of writing more interesting and innovative?

  5. Benefits of Using Project Approaches, Ongoing Assessment, and CFQs in My Unit • Students use their writing skills to write about something important to them—their school. • Their writing has a real audience—new students to the school. • Students collaborate with peers to collect information about the school. • They learn writing and thinking skills while they are working on the project. • Throughout the project they give and receive feedback on their work.

  6. ACTIVITIES Students will run an awareness session where they can ask other students "What is Creative Writing?". their responses will be noted and then steps will be given to them that how they can improve their creative writing skills.  1- how to make best use of dictionary to use good vocabulary. 2- use of library as resource room 3- reading of books for new innovative ideas. 4- surfing only authentic sites   ( www.britishcouncil.com, www.writingcreatively.com)

  7. 5- use good adjectives to describe things 6- use metaphors. 7- re-read your page after writing...this will help you look for mistakes and new ideas. 8- make a web and elaborate each point 9- proofread 10- give an interesting beginning and end

Gauging Student Needs Assessment • What I will learn from the assessment • What my students think good writing is so I know what to teach them • What writing process my students use • What my students will gain from the assessment • An articulation of their thoughts about good writing • A chance to set writing goals for the unit

  9. SOCIAL IMPACT This will inculcate in students a habit of reading good stories and books rather than wasting time on net surfing for hours. They can consult the advised sites and make best benefit of their time and resources. They will develop in them the ability to concentrate and look for different ideas.

  10. My Goals • Learn about different kinds of technology that will motivate my students • Find ways to get my students to do more higher-order thinking • Learn some strategies for helping students do projects from other teachers
