  2. Where are we now • Contract signed for 1 year • valid till January 2007 • Service works • more than 1000 certs issued by all NRENs • NRENs are happy • 3 new NRENs joined in Sep/Oct • BELNet, UNINETT, UKERNA • Extension of the contract under negotiation

New Contract • Meeting with GS in Sep 06 • GS very keen to renew the contract • Still only for server certificates • New contract valid for three years (2007- 2010) • Small discount on the price • Discussed the case for small countries • For now only Malta • Some bugs found in GS interface • GS will fix them

  4. New Features • Some new features requested by the NRENs: • Sub-RAs • Specifying SubjectAltName entries out of band • not in the CSR • HTTP(S) POST interface for submitting CSRs • Under discussion • This would allow for out band SubjectAltName specification • OCSP service • SURFnet and CESNet would provide the support for the service • GS would provide the CRLs

  5. Future steps • GS to agree and implement the new features • Having the amendment of the contract ready and in GS hands by Nov 06 • Getting new NRENs on board 
