Context • Key commuter station and supporting events at the stadium • Subject to final agreement the following combined multiple funding sources have been indentified; • National Stations Improvement Programmes • Network Rail Discretionary Fund • Network Rail Renewals funding • Greater London Authority • Separation of the platform level works to support the Rugby World Cup • Solum works to progress separately and are not part of this package

Platform level work scope • Replacement platform buildings • New lining for canopies • Replacement events day footbridge • Platform resurfacing • New platform edge copers • Stair lifts (existing staircases) • Platform 2 widening to 3m • Repair & paint public footbridge • General paint/refurbishment • New canopies London End • St Marys terrace stairwell upgrade

Construction Methodology Maximises use of ‘abnormal’ possessions to minimise ‘out of hours’ working i.e. Week 9 replacement coper works is equivalent of 6 weeks of weekday nights Co-ordinate as many of the ‘noisy’ & ‘dusty’ activities i.e. removal of structures into the three ‘abnormal’ possessions Use of acoustic screens to contain plant noise Use of mains power to supply site accommodation – saves need for 24/7 generator Wet cutting of materials to suppress dust Full encapsulation of Public Footbridge so works can be completed in daytime hours

Programme • January – February 2014 • Permitted development notification of works falling under Part 17 of the General Permitted Development Order” and “Request for Prior Approval for works falling under Part 11 of the General Permitted Development Order • Removal of tree and de-vegetation works • March – April 2014 • Set up site • New events footbridge enabling works • May 2014 - Key possession 75 Hours 24th-26th May 2014 • Bridge delivered to site – car park closed from 21st May • Removal of existing events footbridge • Lift in new events footbridge • New platform copers at country end • Scaffold & encapsulation to public footbridge and commence repairs • Open new secondary footbridge 27th May • June – August 2014 Key 51 hour possession 7th-8th June • New platform copers at London end • Removal of platform 2/3 building • Construct new platform 2/3 building • Platform 2/3 canopy works

Programme • September – December 2014 • Key 52 hour possession 20th -21st September • Remove scaffold encapsulation to public footbridge • Removal of platform 4/5 building • Platform resurfacing 2/3 • Public foot bridge reopens 22nd September • Platform 4/5 works 22nd September to 19th December • Construct platform new building • Platform canopy works • Platform resurfacing 4/5 • April – July 2015 • World cup final preparation • Painting and final preparation for World Cup
