  1. Gaelscoil’s Schoolyard Games capture the flag

  2. Step 1 Split the class into two teams. Get two flags (one for each team) Find a base for each team and put their flag there.

  3. Step 2 Make sure the other team knows where your flag is. Two people on each team have to guard the flag. The rest of the team has to try and get the other team’s flag.

  4. Step 3 If you see another person on the other team trying to get your flag catch them. If they are caught they have to freeze and drop the flag if they’re carrying one.

  5. Step 4 After you catch them bring them back to the base. They wait in your base until one of their team members frees them. Then they have to try & run back to their own base without being caught.

  6. Step 5 You can only be caught by a member of the other team if you are on their territory: which is half the yard and the other half is for your team. The first team to catch the other team’s flag and bring it back to their base is the winning team.
