E N D
Step 1: Remove the old skirting Using a hammer and chisel remove old skirting.Placing the chisel at the back of the skirting and gently tap with a hammer until the chisel fits behind.
Step 2: Vaccum that area • Vacuum or clean the zone so it is free of dust and garbage before introducing the new skirting.
Step 3: Join the corner sections You need to join areas together at corners, both inside and outside. Then you need to cut the ends of the board at a 45-degree angle.
Step 4: Apply adhesive at the back board • Apply glue to the back of the board and later hold the board at the base. Press base edge first against the divider and after that apply weight to the whole board for better tack between the two surfaces.
Finishing Tip It is preferable that you apply atleast three coats of clear or tinted Woodoc to your new skirting boards for better protection or else if you prefer paint, paint it with water-based acrylic.
