Yet, in this age of productivity and hustling, self care has taken a backseat in the lives of many. Putting work and the needs of others first, is important at times, but so is your own mental health. It is very easy to incorporate habits into your daily life that nurture and value your needs and elevate your over-all mental wellbeing. Add these simple self-care tips into your lifestyle to feel your best. A morning routine – Instead of rushing to work in a half-empty stomach, wake up a little early. Take some time for yourself in the morning to be calm, set intentions for the day and eat breakfast. Be it yoga, journaling or just having coffee, how you choose to spend these early hours make a big difference.

  2. Food – Our body and mind are connected. If you neglect your body, it is going to affect the state of your mind. Eating clean whole-foods instead of processed, fried, comfort foods can totally change the structure, energy and health of your mind and body. Add some exercise for that extra feel-good endorphin and self- care. Pamper yourself – do not think it is indulgent to spend time in doing what makes you happy. Nurture a hobby, invest in skincare, candles, aroma diffuser and bath products, and treat yourself once in a while. It is necessary. You can also incorporate some self-healing methods that make you feel good such as bubble- baths, aroma therapy and guided meditation. Talk – And finally, let yourself feel your feelings.
