Dry Mouth? • A dry mouth is often caused by dehydration or a lack of liquid intake. • For some, it’s easily relieved by increasing water intake, but for others, it can be a lasting issue. • Chronic dry mouth can be uncomfortable. It also increases your risk of developing dental problems such as bad breath and gum disease.

See Your Dentist Regularly • Find out what’s causing your dry mouth by booking a comprehensive oral examination with your dentist. • You’re likely to require more frequent visits because a dry mouth makes your mouth more vulnerable to dental problems. • Routine assessments will detect issues early and prevent the need for complex treatments. 

  5. Reduce or Avoid Caffeine and Alcohol • Alcoholic and caffeinated beverages can exacerbate dry mouth. • Reduce your intake of these beverages or, if you can, skip them completely.
