  2. Overall Need for Design • Expand on the currently available remote training collars by adding proximity detection, effectively electrically tethering a dog to its owner. • Milestones • Order parts • Unit to unit communication • Ultrasonic circuit design • Breadboard implementation • PCB implementation

  3. Tasks Completed • Mobile power system implementation-movable (completed) • Xbee module has been received worked and tested (radio) • Shocking unit design (completed) • Ultrasonic Test circuit • First draft (submitted) • Demo Day Poster (completed) • User interface • Ordered additional parts (2/9/2012) • Shock unit, vibration, handheld I/O LED and push buttons • Mobile breadboard power supply design and implementation (2/10/2012) • Used in testing breadboard design functionality • Microcontroller test circuit (2/4/2012) • AVR working, established programming procedure, tested I/O • Initial parts list ordered (1/28/2012) • Initial parts list finalized (1/20/2012) • RF transceivers acquired (12/15/2011)

  4. Ongoing Tasks • Design the actual look of the collar and handhold • Ultrasonic system design

  5. Upcoming Tasks • Demo’dPrototypes • Demo Day
