  8. Safety Global Edventure Travel makes ‘safety’ a priority when conducting a trip to any of our destinations. Global Edventures carry out a full risk assessment of a destination, its accommodations, transport, activities, eateries, sights to be visited, plus any other aspect that may be considered an issue of safety for a trip. GET follow British Standards 8848/2014 for adventurous activities outside the United Kingdom. We endeavour to follow these standards on all of our trips to ensure all risks are managed in a safe manner. It is important for all parents and the children to understand that the children will be participating in activities which are challenging and will have an element of risk. Taking children outside their comfort zone is one of the aims of the trip to provide a challenging and rewarding experience and to heighten and develop personal confidence in a variety of new and challenging activities. Our staff are qualified and experienced in all activities and will ensure children are not put under any due stress which would counter the aims of the experience.

  9. Preparing and coming to Oman… • Visa • GET are not responsible for obtaining the correct visas for the travelling group. We advise parents to deal with this themselves which can be achieved by applying though the online e-visa system: • http://www.rop.gov.om/english/visaservices_mainpage.html • Those nationalities who are on Country List 1 (http://www.rop.gov.om/english/countrylist1.html ) can obtain their tourist visa on-line. Please check the validity of the use by date as this does change from time to time. Purchasing your visa within one month prior to departure is advisable and not too early. • Some students not on Country List 1 may need a visa in advance by applying at the Oman consulate. If this is not possible GET may be able to assist for this particular visa in Oman. GET cannot guarantee visa applications will be successful. Cost for this type of advanced visa varies between OMR 40 & OMR 50 per person. • Please ensure all passports have at least 6 months validly from the date of departure. • Embassy Contact • GET recommend that all schools contact the relevant embassy of those participants travelling, to inform them of your travel plans and itinerary. This should be done in advance of travelling and is also important to find out the name and address of your local consulate in Oman should the need arise to contact them in an emergency

  10. We look forward to welcoming you to Oman…. • GET Edventurous!
