History Persian Tajiks have been in the area now known as Tajikistan for more than 3,000 years, and speak an ancient language that is very similar to those of Iran and Afghanistan. The natural landscape, agriculture, and Islamic lunar calendars have done much to shape the culture of the nation, with food, customs, and festivals reflecting both the religion and particular requirements for survival in the climate of each region. Muslims make up 90 percent of a population that is largely artistic and family-oriented.

In the traditional costumes of male Tajik includes: cotton shirt, "Kurta", harem pants, Bathrobe and a wide waist belt. Men wear it untucked, belt a long narrow cloth, or a special handkerchief, folded diagonally. The handkerchief serves several functions: it and the belt that supports the trousers, and a kind of pocket.
Tajik wedding is a collective ceremony, is also the word wedding refers to 2 national events, marriage wedding honeymoon and wedding in honor of the circumcision of a Muslim boy (khatna TUI).
Another national Tajik holiday of the people is Navruz - a new day - the equinox. This is one of the favorite spring holidays of the Tajik girls. In this holiday, the girls specially sew themselves dresses from national Tajik fabrics, such as satin, adras, brocade, etc.
Burden Ore Osh Burida is one of the national dishes of Tajikistan, its recipe is passed on from generation to generation. By the way, people who are weakened after the illness are recommended to eat "Osh Burida", as this dish is dietetic and rich in vitamins.
Tandyr cake. Takdirnya cakes – the traditional bread of the peoples of Central Asia, which is cooked in ovens called "tandoor".
