  3. Selling California…??? The treaty included: • The US would never invade Mexico • Settle the border dispute between the US & Mexico • Mexico would sell the land in California to the US.

  4. Selling California…??? President Polk offered Mexico $30 million for California (in today’s money that would be $670 million)

  6. Selling California…??? As a result President Polk sends General Zachary Taylor to Texas.
