Brief Introduction to CATIA Developed by Dassault Aviation (a French aircraft company) in the late 1970s, CATIA is a product designing and development software for all manufacturing companies, which involves CAD, CAM, CAE, PLM and 3D. This software is known as the backbone of the 3D designing in the CAD CAM industry and a wide variety of industries, such as aerospace, automotive, electrical, electronics, shipbuilding, etc. are using this software for their product designing.
