  1. Canada Government has various pathways to immigrate to Canada. Most of all, these pathways are point-based. It means the candidate needs to meet the minimum score requirements for getting the Canada permanent residency status. The most successful pathway of Canadian immigration for Skilled workers is an express entry. It has three sub-streams - Federal Skilled Workers Program (FSWP), Federal Skilled Trades Program (FSTP), and Canadian Experience Class (CEC). The candidate needs to be eligible in any of the three subcategories to get selected in the Express Entry System. For evaluation of the applicant's point score, there is a comprehensive ranking system tool. A comprehensive ranking system (CRS) tool is used to assess the candidates' credentials based on the selection factors of age, Language abilities, Educational Qualification, Work Experience, arranged employment, and adaptability. The calculation of the CRS score doesn't mean that you are eligible in any of the three Express Entry programs. Rather, it means you need to find the point score abilities in one of the three sub-streams to move forward. The Federal Skilled Workers Program (FSWP) is for applicants who have never lived in Canada before. Let us see how the points calculation in the comprehensive ranking system (CRS) tool happens- •Human Core Capital factors - 460 + 50 = 500 Points •Skill Transferability =100 Points •Bonus points score = 600 Points The Express Entry CRS calculator will calculate the total score out of 1200.

  2. The key factors for the point score are as follows: 1.Human Core Capital For single applicants, the Human Core Capital points are calculated out of 500. However, the score is calculated out of 460 for those applicants who are with a spouse. There are 40 points calculations for the spouse so that the spouse's credentials can help the primary applicant gain additional points in his move with immigration. The Human core Capital point calculation table is as follows: Selection Factors Points (With Spouse) Age 100 Education 140 Language 150 Work Experience 70 2.Skill Transferability To understand the Skill Transferability factors let us look at the table below: Skill Transferability Education Qualification Proficient language Skills + post- secondary degree Work experience + Post-secondary degree Foreign Work Experience Proficient language + Overseas work experience Work experience in Canada + Overseas work experience Qualification / Trade certificate 3.Bonus Points There are total 600 Bonus points provided to applicants to help them calculate the CRS score Points (Without Spouse) 110 150 160 80 Maximum Points = 100 50 50 50 50 50 50 50
