  3. Note that: • 1. Long possessive adjectives are always places after the noun they modify • 2. mío, tuyo, suyo, nuestro, and vuestro have a feminine form • 3. to form the plural add –s. • 4. mío (of mine) tuyo (of yours), nuestro (of ours), and vuestro (of yours) have only one equivalent in English

  4. 5.suyo, suya,suyos, suyas can each mean of his, of hers, of yours, of its, of theirs. In order to avoid ambiguity, replace suyo, suya, suyos, suyas with de + noun or de + pronoun (él, ella, Ud., Uds., ellos, ellas)

  5. Repaso: • The long form comes after the noun • The long form is generally used in: • Exclamations: ¡Dios mío! My Lord • As equivalents of the English of mine, of yours, etc. El amigo es míoHe is a friend of mine • If the possessive adjective is linked to the noun by the verb ser, only the long form can be used Este checke esmíoThis check is mine
