  1. A Quick Guide to Different Types of Sports Bets & Wagers Various types of bets that can be placed on sports seem very confusing to bettors, especially if you are new or inexperienced. Though it is fair enough to say that some wagers are actually complex than others, but none of them are too complicated to understand. Here we are explaining different types of bets. Wins bets and moneyline bets They two mean almost the same things. The term moneyline bet is used majorly in America, while win bets are used in other regions. It is the simplest type of wagers and is used in almost every sport you can gamble on, for example, if you support a football team you place a win bet on the team for selection. The odds you get in this type wager will depend on the chances of your winning. The more expected it is, the shorter the odds will be.

  2. Futures and outright bets A future or outright bet is usually placed on the winner of a tournament or other leagues, for example, betting on super bowl halftime bets at the commencement of the NFL season. Total bets & over /under betting These are straightforward wagers that have become quite popular in past few years. You can find this bet on most of the sports betting sites in a range of sports. In total betting, the site set an estimated total of runs, goals or points expected to be scored in a match. Now the better has to decide whether the actual amount will be higher or lower. Straight bets & the point spread It is perhaps the most common bet placed in an American football match is also popular in other sports. Similar to win the bet, the bettor chooses the team s/he is expecting to win. However, the difference lies in the point spread that is created to make the two teams equal favorite. Specials or proposition bets Wagers falling in special bets are considered a bit of fun, but they are actually popular among experienced bettors. Basically, they are wagers on things that do not affect the outcome of a sport match (with some exception). For example, betting on which team or player will score first in a match. If you want to nail the best chance of making money out of sports gambling, then you must learn about the other advanced wagers also.
