This study investigates the azimuthal distribution of trace gases and aerosols measured during the MADCAT campaign in Mainz, Germany in the summer of 2013. The measurements are compared to simulations, and daily developments are analyzed. The results show good agreement between instruments and highlight the influence of aerosol properties on the measurements.
