  2. Where is it located? • 37.8499° N, 119.5677° W: Yosemite, Coordinates • Yosemite National Park is a Park in Mariposa County, California. It has an elevation of 2,434 meters, or 7,986 feet.

Reasons why you might go to the Yosemite National Park Here are some reasons why going to the Yosemite National Park would be a great idea: • Hiking & Camping- Group Hikes, Day Hikes, Half Dome Hike, Overnight Backpacking Trips, Learn to Backpack Trips, Camping.. • Biking • Waterfalls • Cliffs • Wildlife • Trees and Plants

  4. Transportation You can get there by: • Car • Bus • Train • Air Ways to travel around the park: • By the Valley Shuttle System- FREE transport! This is a great service provided by the National Park, it reduces traffic on the small roads and over crowding of the lots. It's very convenient to take and the bus runs late into the night.

  5. Reasons you might Not go to Yosemite National Park • Some parts may be dangerous, for example, a person may get too close to the edge of a cliff and fall, or a person may get too close a certain wildlife and get hurt..

  6. Weather conditions • Summertime: Warm to hot, with occasional rain (usually as afternoon thundershowers, especially at the higher elevations). Yosemite Valley (4,000 Ft. / 1,200 m): 87°F (31°C) / 51°F (10°C). • Fall: Quite variable, with weather ranging from hot to cold, dry to rainy or snowy. Yosemite Valley (4,000 Ft. / 1,200 m): 54°F (12°C) / 35°F (2°C). • Winter: Winter in Yosemite is snowy and cold, though sunny and chilly days are not uncommon. Yosemite Valley (4,000 Ft. / 1,200 m): 53°F (12°C) / 28°F (-2°C). • Spring: Highly variable, with sunny and relatively warm days, but still an occasional winter storm. Yosemite Valley (4,000 ft. / 1,200 m): 69°F (21°C) / 39°F (4°C).

Random Facts! • Yosemite National Park was established on October 1, 1890 • The park itself measures 748,542 acres (or 1,169 square miles) • 94% of the park is designated “wilderness” • There are 1,445 individual campsites park-wide • There are 360 miles of paved road throughout Yosemite • There are 800 miles of developed trails throughout Yosemite • The highest peak at Yosemite is Mt. Lyell at 13,114 feet • 318 = the number of major park lakes in Yosemite • 127 = the number of major park lakes with fish • 191 = the number of major park lakes without fish • In 1899, almost 100 years after the Park was established, there were only 4,500 visitors. Today, more than 4 million have visited the beauty that Yosemite National Park holds.
