Active Citizens – Twinning: Conferences – Network • European content – such as the potential to engage citizens in the construction of Europe; • Encouraging new partnerships and creation of networks; • Expected impact on the target group - exchange of experience and good practice; • Visibility of the project and its expected multiplier effect; • Priority: projects involving municipalities from at least 3 eligible countries.

For European civil society organisations including NGO’s, Associations, Foundations, Trade unions, Think tanks 2 types of support: Contribution to operational costs; Support to trans-national projects (max. 55.000 € - min. 10.000 €). New: - lump-sum / flat rates; incentives for communication tools - decision (no contract) Europe for Citizens 2007-20132. Active Civil Society

Projects of the following types may be supported: Preservation of main sites and memorials associated with the mass deportations, concentration camps and extermination sites of Nazism, as well as the archives for keeping alive the memory of the victims and of those who rescued people from the holocaust; Commemoration of the victims of mass exterminations and mass deportations associated with Stalinism, as well as the preservation of the memorials and archives.
