Who are we • ICASS is a UK registered company, providing a range of social care services in Jamaica by qualified social workers and consultants. • All the consultants are registered with National and international bodies such as JASWA and work within legislative requirements. • Expertise in Mental Health, Youth offending, Substance misuse, Child Protection and safeguarding, Analytical assessment, Attachment separation and loss, Managing difficult behaviour, learning and development and the monitoring, support and supervision of Foster/Kinship placements. • The service extends to the wider community through the wrap around services and support that is available.

What we are doing…. • ICAS has been operating in Jamaica since 2010, and has built a productive, professional working relationship with The CDA and other voluntary organisations. • Our Ethos is ‘To Make a Difference, to the lives of children and Families across the Caribbean through service provision and support’. • Whilst working in partnership with the CDA and many other Voluntary agencies, it has become clear to us that there are areas within Social Care where ICASS could work in partnership with the CDA, in order to achieve some of the targets identified in the ‘Vision 2030 Jamaica’ National Development Plan

  4. Why are we here today? • To present a proposal on how ICASS can support Jamaica in implementing the 2030 Vision in areas pertaining to Social Care. • Recognition of the importance of engaging with Government leaders to gain acknowledgement and accreditation.

  5. Ethos’ The Place of Choice , To Live, Work, Raise Families and Do Business ‘To Make a Difference, to the lives of children and Families across the Caribbean through service provision and support’. ICASS

  6. Proposed Area’s of Partnership working Specifically focused on the children and Young People of Jamaica

  7. Goal 1 ICASS • Proposal of A Centre of Excellence Mother & Baby Unit supporting parenting skills in promoting healthy pregnancies, reducing infant mortality • A healthy and stable population • Further deliverance of Social work training, as well as deliverance of a range of Accredited Evidence Based Parenting Programmes • World class education and training Implementation of an Independent monitoring body inspecting and making constructive recommendations for provision improvement • Effective social protection • Authentic and transformational culture Social work Students undertaking quality international placements

Goal 2 ICASS Offering alternative experiences for young people who are identified as being at high risk of continuing or being introduced to criminal activities. • Security and Safety Effective Governance Overseeing the Governance, monitoring, and inspections of children and young peoples services and institutions, inclusive of correctional services where children and young people are in residence.
