  1. Little Fishers Preschool 2011 Austin Parkway Sugar Land, Texas 77479 THE FISHING LINE Volume 4 Issue 8 A Monthly Message From The Director 4/3/2013 On that first Easter, Jesus changed everything through his death and resurrection. God’s long-awaited promise was fulfilled. Jesus was victorious over death and the devil. What wondrous love this is! Because of God’s love, we can rejoice in the hope of the resurrection. Sin, death and the devil have no power over us. God’s great love fills our hearts to overflowing! He helps us share that love with others. Monday, April 22, is Earth Day. What a wonderful opportunity to focus on teaching children about caring for our world! As a staff, we are very familiar with Earth Day and the concept of saving our planet for future generations. However, this may be the first time your child has heard of Earth Day and what it means. They are not too young to participate in this worldwide endeavor! As Christians, it is natural to talk about God’s creation and how He gave Adam and Eve the task of caring for the world that He made. As human beings created by God, we, too, have that responsibility. We all can work together to keep our world clean and beautiful for families and wildlife now and in the future. This is an important value that we can instill in our students and that will have lasting impact throughout their lives. We will be teaching about Reduce, Reuse, and Recycle the week of April 22. Each class will have their own recycling box outside their classrooms. We will have a “Recycle Contest”. We will collect all week long and the class that collects the most bags of recycling will win a Popcorn Party! Please share with your children how as a family, you can take care of the Earth. Keep reading to find out what else is “on the line”… WHAT’S COMING UP?
