  1. Mission To organize an annual Carolinas' Catholic men's conference that focuses on the sacraments and features national Catholic speakers who pointedly challenge each participant to grow their Catholic Faith, Deepen their relationship with Christ, and live up to their callings as Catholic men, husbands, & fathers. and to provide communications and forums throughout the year to reinforce the conference messages and aid men in continuing their spiritual journey.

Men’s Conference Experience • Speakers: Straight-talk, Nationally recognized, compelling • Strong presence of Knights of Columbus • Mass with Bishop Jugis, Holy Hour with Bishop Curlin • Participation from Priests & Deacons throughout the Diocese • Catholic vendors & ministries • Breakfast & lunch • Confessions available • Men’s fellowship

Highlights from past Conferences • 700 men attended in 2012, over 300 Knights attended • 600+ men attended in 2011 • Significant dollars raised for charities, bought Ultrasound in 2012 • Prominent coverage in Catholic News & Herald • Several councils report new membership from conference • Several hundred men received the Sacrament of Reconciliation • Overwhelmingly positive feedback from attendees, most men went back for the second conference

Men’s Forums • Format • Rosary with meditations • Priest, Deacon or layperson Reflection for men • Fellowship & Refreshments • How to set up • Secure Priest or Deacon, potential witness, & venue • Choose date (substitute Social meeting?) • Buy refreshments • Encourage Council members & men from parish to attend • Inform Core Team (Len Kobylus) who will: • Send invitations, collect RSVPs through EventBrite • Publish schedule & encourage Men’s conference attendees to attend E-mail Len Kobylus at lkobylus@carolina.rr.com to set up a Men’s Forum
