  2. The Network: Steering Committee Deborah Brock, Dodder Valley Partnership (currently on Maternity Leave) Jennifer D’Arcy, Bray Area Partnership Hugh Doogan, Louth Leader Partnership Miriam McNamee, CPLN Area Partnership Colma Nic Lughadha, Ballymun Whitehall Partnership

Background The Network developed as the number of Education Coordinators grew in Partnership companies and their roles expanded through LURD Programme (1994 -1999), LDSIP (2000 – 2006) and LCDP (2010 – 2013) Coordinated and driven by National Education Coordinator/Pobal until position ceased – then Steering Committee Regular well attended meetings (e.g. between January 08 and Feb 11 – nine held – approx 3 per annum) – two day events – reduced to one day

  4. Functions of the Network Development Function Co-ordination Function Capacity Building Function Advocacy Function Information Function Administrative and Management Function Mainstreaming Role

  5. Future Priorities for the Network (ILDN facilitated meeting 2010) Information – innovative and new ideas, existing supports, dissemination of programme detail Support – peer support, induction and local initiatives Training Research Policy development/advocacy and lobbying
