Media equipment loan to students and staff Equipment available • Video cameras: MiniDV (digital), CVHS & full size VHS (analog) • Still cameras (digital): floppy disk, memory stick • Still cameras (film): SLR 35mm & Instamatic 35mm • Audio mixer kits with microphones • Microphones: digital and analog • Dictaphones analog & digital • Audio recorders with microphones: minidisk & pro analog • Audio transcribers • AV Leads • Film and digital cameras • Headphones • Photographic lenses & flash units • Portable VHS players • Projector screens • Slide projectors • Tripods • Pro 3CCD chip video cameras with radio microphones (available from end of Summer 2005) Where to borrow equipment • Equipment is issued from the Media Enquiries and Equipment Loan Counter on production of your Library card

Self Service Facilities • Video copying • Digital video editing • Audio copying • Audio recording, transfer and editing • Media conversion summary • CD to CD (CD-R, CD-RW) • CD to Mini Disc • C-VHS to VHS • Minidisk to CD • MiniDV to DVD (DVD-R, DVD-RW, DVD-ROM) • MiniDV to VHS • VHS Editing / titles • VHS to DVD (DVD-R, DVD-RW, DVD-ROM) • VHS to MiniDV • VHS to VHS • VHS-Pal converted to other standards • Playback area supporting DVD, MiniDV, VHS, CD and Mini Disc • Dedicated digital editing suite comprising 10 iMacs with a range of editing software Technical staff are available to provide advice, support and demonstrations

What Media Services Can Do For You General Services • Mini DV to DVD Copying (with titles and fades option) • Mini DV to VHS Copying (with titles and fades option) • DVD/CD duplicating and disc face/cover printing (high volume 1000+ copies possible) • Minidisk to CD • Minidisk to Audio Cassettes • CD to Minidisk • Audio cassettes to Minidisk • Audio cassettes to CD • VHS copying (with titles and fades option) • VHS to DVD copying (with titles and fades option) • VHS conversions to all World Standards • Off-Air visual recordings onto VHS, DVD, DVCAM, MiniDV or as a digital file • Off-Air sound recording onto CD, Minidisk or Cassette tape • Any format of camera memory cards copied to CD
