What is RFID Technology? • RFID technology is a combination of radio frequency and IC Chip technology • RFID tag is an embeded RF technology chip which can record a serial of information including product type, location, and date • RFID performs auto-identification without human intervention in broad applications, with instantaneous reaction to shorten operation processing time

  9. 研究背景與動機 • 研發在短期間內不論在國內外都有極大的市場潛力的有關「無線追蹤監視網路」與「無線頻率自動識別」的硬體與軟體產品與服務 • 提升本土有關「無線追蹤監視網路」與「無線頻率自動識別」產業在「安全」 與「隱私」保護的技術能力和增強相關產業在國際市場的競爭力 • 制定或採用國際通行的RFID標準來增加彼此的互通性 • 研討解決RFID與sensor network所帶來的「隱私權」保護的問題

  10. 任務 • 研發 增強RFID「安全性」和「隱私性」功能的技術 包括,「隱私權」的保護 以及隱密通訊與防偽安全 • 技術移轉與協助台灣廠商開拓新的RFID接受器與 標籤等產品的契機 • 整合RFID裝置與智慧卡或其他感應器變成一個通用 的無線監視網路允許更多有新能力的產品和服務的 參與和加入

  11. 研究計畫內容 • 子計畫一:無線監視/偵查網路測試床(The Wireless Surveillance /Monitoring Network Testbed) • 子計畫二: 整合RFID成為無線監視/偵查網路的感應器 (Integrating RFID into Sensors for Wireless Surveillance Network) • 子計畫三: 提昇RFID設備的隱密性和安全性(Enhancing RFID Devices for Privacy and Security)

  13. 子計畫三: 提昇RFID設備的隱私性和安全性 • 提昇隱私保護的功能: • 從整體系統架構考慮如何發展一系列不同功效的「隱私權」保護機制使得RFID標籤可以暫時或永久失效 • 進行各式各樣的研發來增強RFID運作的有效距離、電力需求、安全功能、和可靠性、等等.尤其是在追蹤和監視(tracking and surveillance)的應用上(像監控工廠的儀器、環境汙染程度、和高速公路流量等等),RFID必須與感應器網路(sensor network)密切結合才能達成預期的效果 • 加強隱密通訊與防偽功能: • 應用”頻率跳躍”及密碼技術來躲避竊聽接受器的追蹤,再加上用資料加密於RFID標籤內ID Code等來減低資料被竊聽的風險 • 用資安產品驗證的程序把偽造的RFID標籤楸出來 • 採納PKI技術於RFID標籤及接受器中使得仿冒難以得逞

  14. 研發團隊與資源 • 以高苑鄭博仁、陳品儀及陳林福等教授在資訊安全、網路、通訊與軟體產業界、學術界之研發資歷及經驗配合高苑謝德鑫 與陳宏志教授的支援 • 高苑已在全校建置無線寬頻網路基礎建設 • 高苑資管系現有網路基礎訓練教室

  15. 成立的過程 • 經費: 國科會及學校提供,九三年五月 批准。 • 目標: 成立無線射頻辨識系統中心 • 計畫: 測試平台的建立 中間介面軟體的發展 隱私權及防偽權的研究

  16. 里程碑 • 七月: • 儀器抵達 (伺服器,900MHz AWID readers, Tags) • RFID軟體 • 雇用第一位專業兼任軟體助理 • 八月: • 安裝第一套RFID系統並開始操作及測試 • 擬定軟體開發計劃 • 九月: • 從AWID reader讀寫資料 • 新增13.56 MHz reader • 十月: • 實驗室現有六位兼任助理 • 四位軟體研發員 • 兩位資訊安全研發員

DEMO 1: 門禁控管 • 設備: • 一個 13.56MHz reader, • 一個行動感應器(motion sensor) • speaker, and the motion sensor #2 will be used to detect the following conditions: • 1.          The person with valid ID and the motions sensor #2 is ON (detecting the person): The RFID server will issue a predefined specific greeting to that person through the speaker. • 2.          The person with an invalid tag and the motion sensor is ON: The RFID server will issue a warning through the speaker. • 3.          The person enters without any tag and the motion sensor is ON: The RFID server will issue a predefined voice message to that person depending on the situation.   19. DEMO 2: 公路收費系統 • When a car passes the gate, the motion sensor will detect the car and the RFID 900 MHz reader will also detect the tag attached to the car. The RFID server will issue the signal to the traffic lights based on the following conditions: • 1.          Green light: if the tag is valid and the motion sensor #1 has detected the car. • 2.          Yellow light: the tag is not valid and the motion sensor #1 is ON (detecting the car) • 3.          Red light: No tag is detected but the motion sensor #1 is ON.
