The Romanian team arrived on the night of 1st October and it was welcomed at the local airport by Nuno Albano, the coordinator of the Portuguese team. The rest of the participants arrived on the 2nd October when the meeting itself was scheduled. During the stay we had daily meetings: first we got to know the school, its laboratories and library, the museum and the local management team. The hall was decorated with the Comenius project logo and flags as part of the school internal dissemination of the project. In the afternoon we visited the surroundings of the school and got familiarized with the history of the city in a walking guided tour. On the 3rd of October the students took part in special designed activities and then, in the afternoon we met the local authorities and acted as ambassadors of our countries. In the same day, all the coordinators of the partner countries were present in a live radio show at National Portuguese Radio –RTP where they were interviewed upon the goals, plans and activities of the Comenius Project. One of the Romanian students, Daniela Stoica sang live a Romanian traditional folk song whereas the other countries played some recording of their country music at the end of the interview. The rest of the students were taken by their host in a guided tour of the city and they had the chance to visit the Tour of Belem.

  2. On the 4th, due to local transportation strike the schedule had to be adjusted. The meeting itself started at noon and the teachers discussed about the further activities of the project. They designed the questionnaires for the elderly, the students and the teachers and set dated for all the projects to be accomplished. We have also taken in consideration the following meeting and agreed upon dates and number of mobilities. Moreover, the groups agreed upon the following: -    to ask three students from each country to write down their impressions from the visit to be posted on the project’s website -     to upload the pictures taken during the visit in a separate folder on Facebook profile. In the afternoon, we had the chance to see the old center of Lisbon. In the 5th day the host prepared a trip to Cascais, Sintra, Cabo de Roca. Prior to the departing the students exchanged addresses, took photos, made plans for the future visit. Their time spent together during the days in Lisbon improved their English speaking skills, showed the youth the real life in Portugal, gave them the chance to taste original dishes and influenced new friendships. This report has been written by Simona Ardelean.
