  2. What are modifiers? Adjectives, adverbs, phrases and clauses (that act as adjectives and adverbs) • any word or word group that limits or qualifies (describes) another word or word group.

  3. Misplaced Modifiers are so far from the term they modify or so close to another term that they could potentially modify that they are unclear

  4. Example • Confusing: • many wizards have been bitten by werewolves who wander dark forests at night. • Revised: • Many wizards who wander dark forests at night have been bitten by werewolves
