  2. What Contributes to Our Perception of the World? Objective: To examine and respond to a variety of symbols and make connections based on culture, values, and background experiences and develop a written draft for the unit’s essential question: “How does culture shape, impact, and influence our understandings and perceptions.

  3. Response • SILENTLY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! • You will need to record your response to each of the following images I provide for you. • Do NOT say anything during this time. It is important that I am getting your response and it is not influenced by your neighbor.

  8. Writing Prompt • On a separate sheet of paper-- Write a well-developed paragraph synthesizing why students have different perceptions of images/symbols. Use examples from class, readings, and your personal experiences to support your answer. Be sure to connect back to your thesis often.
