  2. The students began with a web search to explore the impacts of mercury on the environment.

  3. With this information, they designed posters-

  4. After learning to film and edit video, the students gathered information about CFL’s to be used in their video presentations. They listened to a recording from NPR and completed an information sheet.

  5. Student groups conducted a light box experiment comparing CFL’s with incandescent bulbs.

  6. Each group produced a video reporting on what they had learned.
