  3. What’s good bringing quality assessment to web-based resources establishing standards for some basic scientific practices such as citation

  4. Language Documentations/Archives and Living Sources General issue (relates to “two complementary scenarios” on p3): How does LivS-concept relate to currently emerging language archives (DoBeS, ELAR, PARADISEC, Texas etc.)?

  5. Language Documentations/Archives and Living Sources Archives/documentations are multifunctional – LivS = scientific/discipline-specific resource? Future prospect of extending LivS-concept to other parts of language documentations (sketch grammars, text corpora, the whole lot?)?

  6. Language Documentations/Archives and Living Sources Specific issue relating to lexical databases which are parts of language documentations: What are the expectations? How is this going to work technically? What would 1st submission level “Words of the World” be like for this? Personal preference: resource stays part of language archive but can be accessed directly from LivS portal and receives LivS “Gütesiegel” – in any event need to avoid maintenance of parallel versions of same resource

  7. Dictionary concept • current version word-oriented and rather vague • the major innovative potential of the concept would be to stimulate interesting new ways of capturing phraseology/constructions • what about paradigms/sets (kin, numerals, measure, etc)

  8. Dictionary concept - what exactly is intended with Dict of W’s Lgs brand? Lexeme-based with comprehensive account of different senses plus ample example sentences? - what does “technical requirements” mean exactly? Will there be a basic template for entries one will have to adhere to (possibly leaving blanks)? • what about pictures and sound? • what kind of dictionaries/lexical databases are excluded (e.g. dictionary for speech community)?

Need for review procedure (what is a complex search?)? • formats: most fieldworkers work with TOOLBOX
