  12. SLIP Developers - Innovation Grant • In Dec ’08, the SLIP Developers were invited to apply for grants to deliver an innovative use of SLIP. • The four successful applications were chosen from 15 submitted.

  13. Grants for IP Share Initiative • Grants to the SLIP Developers support the development of proof-of-concept prototypes • If new IP is created, it is shared between Landgate and the developer by mutual agreement • If the proof-of-concept is successful, it may be taken to market by Landgate and the developer via a commercialisation strategy • An option is available for one party to purchase the other party’s share of the new IP

  14. Local Government Extraction Tool • Targeted at Local Government Authorities • Focuses on using SLIP infrastructure to enable regular download of cadastral data • Allows use of SLIP data services in a way that reduces ongoing costs for LGAs • Proposed delivery in late‘09

  15. Strategic Site Planning Tool • For the education and health sectors • Determines viability of new or existing school or hospital sites • Integrates SLIP data from ABS, public transport and environment • Proposed delivery late‘09

Tile Sync • Designed for users who work away from their office • Connects to information available in SLIP and allows the user to select and tile a region of information, caching it for offline use on their mobile device • Available for download at: http://udig.refractions.net/files/downloads/Tilesync/

  17. Location-Based Services • Community mapping application • Uses crowdsourced data and information [eg. FuelWatch & weather] displayed over the basic SLIP data sets • Create, update and display customised information that combines data layers in SLIP services • Proposed delivery in early ’2010

  18. 3D Visualisation tool • Provides 3-D visualisation and real-time integration of SLIP and local data sets • Users can customise the application to suit their business need • Uses: • Land-use planning and development • Emergency management • Education and tourism
