Stock Competition • www.smartstocks.com • Group: FBIS Spring 2010 Password: fbis • Rules: • $1 Million • Must make 10 Trades during the semester • No more than 20% of portfolio in 1 stock • Can’t buy stocks below $5 • Only US Equities, Mutual Funds, ETFs • Cash Prizes of $100, $50 and $25 for Top 3 Performers

Mentor Program • Juniors and Seniors: Email FBIS (fbis2010@gmail.com) with why you want to be a mentor and what experience you have had • Freshman and Sophomores: Email FBIS saying that you want to have a mentor and what area you are interested in learning more about. • Will try to place as best as possible, depending on how many of each category we have

  8. Current Events • 1Chipotle Gift Card per week to be raffled off for people who bring in current events to talk about for 1-2 minutes at the beginning.

  9. Resumes • Attention to detail • Formatting Mistakes (1 page only, watch margins) • Don’t include High School unless you are a Freshman and have no work experience • You can work essentially any job and present it in an appealing way. • Have as many people as possible look at it!! • Look at resumes already out there and see what they did to present their experiences (Senbet Fund)

  10. Networking • Follow up with people who give presentations at meetings • Parents • Family Friends • FBIS Members • Mock Interviews • Resume Reviews

  11. Job Deadlines • Keep on top of Job Deadlines • HireSmith • Sophomore Programs • Might not get ideal job at first • Teamwork • Entrepreneurship • Any Financial/Accounting Experience
