3 Activities Kindergarten Teachers Can Organize to Keep Tiny Tots Busy and Engaged

The kids learn to focus only on the activity they are dealing with. The teachers only guide them to learn. Chinese kindergartens in Singapore also work on the same principle. The parents can take a sigh of relief if they are leaving their tiny tots here.

  1. 3 Activities Kindergarten Teachers Can Organize to Keep Tiny Tots Busy and Engaged Teaching the naughty little tots is quite a daunting task as a kindergarten teacher. The tiny preschoolers are at an age where it is difficult for them to focus on anything for a long time. The kids tend to get distracted easily and move on to anything else that interest them. This can be contagious; as you know children will follow what their friends do making it quite a challenging task manage the class. If you do not want, your class to have the little toddlers moving around in hundred directions introduce fun activities that could keep them engaged and they also learn in between. Montessori preschools in Singaporealready work in the same principle. Unlike the traditional teaching methods. Montessori education focuses on individualized training. The kids are free to make a choice of activities within their classroom and indulge themselves in the constructive learning in what is known as three-hour cycle. The kids learn to focus only on the activity they are dealing with. The teachers only guide them to learn. Chinese kindergartens in Singapore also work on the same principle. The parents can take a sigh of relief if they are leaving their tiny tots here. Listed below are some of the fun activities the teacher can introduce in the class for the fun learning. 1.Shape Games If you were about to teach the tiny tots the concepts of shapes, numbers and letters, then this activity is going to be a highly fun activity. You would need tapes to design shapes, letters or numbers on the classroom floor. Ask the kids to stand on their favorite one. To move onto the next destination, give them the instructions like “hop like a rabbit to R”, “bear crawl to square”, or “run to the circle.” This game can make your kids move around but also helps them to learn basic concept too. 2.Hit the letter This is yet another fun and learns activity for your preschoolers. Stick sticky notes on a board or on the back of your classroom door with letters written on it. Make a “start” line a few feet away. Give the little kids a ball or a soft toy. Now instruct them to throw the ball and hit on the correct letter like “A” or “B.” If the kids are old enough to read a word, use this game to hit it on the correct spelling of the instructed words. This game can immensely improve the kid’s language skills. 3.Color Hunt This will be an all-time favorite fun activity for your kids and is quite easy to execute. Select 4 pieces of colored papers and 10 pieces of toys or Lego pieces that match each color paper (that is, 10 red toys for a red paper). Now hide all the toys in different places of your classroom and divide your students to color teams. Lay out the color papers in the center of the room. Start the timer and instruct each team to search and find their color toys and match it with the color paper. You could even make it fun by asking the parents to send their wards with team’s color shirts so that the kids can identify their teammates. This is a great team building activity.

  2. Introduce these fun games to your Montessori preschools in Singapore or Chinese kindergartens in Singapore to make the classrooms more interesting and fun.
